❌ VOTE NO Q1: For our elections to run smoothly, election workers need to be able to do their jobs safely and securely. Limiting election funding deprives them from needed resources to safeguard our elections and ensure all Wisconsinites have equal opportunity to exercise their freedom to vote. We support fully-funded elections and that’s why we’re voting NO April 2nd!
WisDems adds: “During the pandemic, local governments relied on nonpartisan grants to help keep polling places open and make voting safe. Donald Trump seized on these nonpartisan grants to fuel his conspiracies and lies about the 2020 election—all to avoid admitting he’d lost. Now, Republicans want to amend our state constitution to restrict the ability of municipalities to access grant funding to keep our elections running smoothly. This constitutional amendment would leave local governments with fewer resources, and may even be forced to raise taxes or close polling places to make up the difference.”
❌VOTE NO Q2: Elections are a lot of work. Clerks rely on a whole host of outside experts, volunteers, and community members to make sure our elections are run smoothly and the results are accurate. A handful of politicians want to make the jobs of our election heroes even harder. 👎That’s why we’re voting no April 2!
