Charly Ray (D)

As a forester and avid outdoorsman, he has spent countless hours walking the woods, paddling, running sled dogs and fishing, coming to intimately know the local environment he will work to protect.

He owns Honest Dog Books in Bayfield with his wife Julie Buckles and has first-hand knowledge of the challenges small businesses face.

Erik Severson (R)

  • Erik Arlen Severson was born in Duluth, Minnesota and raised in the Duluth area. Severson has been praised by special interest Wis. Manufactures and Commerce lobbying group.

Dylan Helmenstine, a Black Earth village trustee, school board member and president of a local EMS district, announced his campaign Nov. 16. Helmenstine has a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and works as an analyst for Wisconsin’s Medicaid programs. Eric Wilson, who highlights his experience as a small business owner, IT project manager and mortgage professional, announced his campaign Sept. 23. His priorities include building wealth through homeownership, launching statewide financial literacy programs, protecting Wisconsinites from predatory lending, modernizing the unclaimed property system and responsibly growing the state’s trust funds. Yee Leng Xiong, a Marathon County supervisor, DC Everest School Board treasurer and former Weston village trustee annouced his campaign Jan 7. Xiong touts his experience managing budgets on the county board and during his time as executive director of the Hmong American Center.
